

Melanie V., MSOT, OTR/L, ATC
Melanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Chapman University. As a student-athlete at Chapman, she had experience both receiving and providing care for sports-related injuries. However, she developed a passion for working with the pediatric population after volunteering at a Joni and Friends short-term mission trip. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from West Coast University. Melanie was Carrico Pediatric Therapy Inc’s first O.T. Fieldwork Student in 2015. Upon graduating Valedictorian in her O.T. Program, Melanie joined the Carrico team as an Occupational Therapist at the San Dimas clinic. She’s completed specialized training, including the SOS Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor, and NDT. She is currently completing her Advanced Practice in Swallowing Mentorship with the Owner/Director and is interested in working with babies and children with swallowing difficulties. Melanie is now the Clinical Director and oversees clinical procedures at all of Carrico’s locations.
During her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, and traveling.
