Marissa joined the team as a licensed occupational therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). During completion of her minor program, she interned at an infant child care center where she fell in love with pediatrics and the use of play to help support children’s learning and development. Marissa pursued her Master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). During graduate school, she worked as a research assistant in the innovations of a neurodevelopmental sensory processing research lab that works to advance the knowledge of early risk signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is certified in Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding (SOS) and Beckman Oral Motor intervention methods. In Marissa’s free time, she enjoys playing board games, going to Disneyland, watching classical movies, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys shopping at Hobby Lobby, Target, and Barnes and Noble. Her favorite color is pink.
