Maria D-A., PT, DPT
Maria joined the team as a licensed Physical Therapist at our San Dimas clinic when it first opened. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UCLA and pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. In addition, she serves as Director of Clinical and Community Education as she oversees Carrico’s educational development and training curriculum. In addition to her love for one-on-one patient care, her role includes contracting with local programs for placement of student interns to provide a high level of mentorship for future generations of pediatric therapists. She is an active member of community organizations such as being one of the Clinical Directors for Special Olympics Southern California’s FUNfitness program since 2012 and is also a member of SoCal Trykers. Maria has presented lectures on PT topics to APU, San Bernardino’s CCS therapists, and Jessup University.
Outside the clinic, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis and basketball, and hiking. She loves singing through her long commute to and from work, playing the piano and ukulele, and exploring new restaurants. Taking photos and eating a good chocolate chip cookie makes her happy.
