Melanie was a student-athlete at Chapman University where she earned her B.S. in Athletic Training. She worked at Evergreen Physical Therapy Specialists, where she gained experience with a variety of patients of all ages and ability levels. It was there that she developed a passion for working with the pediatric population. She volunteered for the Joni and Friend’s Ministry, which solidified her decision to pursue a career in occupational therapy. She attended West Coast University to earn her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. During her time there, she completed one of her fieldwork rotations at Carrico Pediatric Therapy. After graduation, she jumped at the opportunity to return to Carrico Peds. Melanie is certified in the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding (SOS). On her spare time, she enjoys CrossFit, playing volleyball, volunteering in the children’s ministry at her church, and spending time with her family, especially her two adorable nieces.
