Maria joined the team as a licensed physical therapist at our San Dimas clinic. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from UCLA in Los Angeles, CA, and pursued her Doctorate’s in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA. In addition to her role as a physical therapist, she currently serves as Director of Clinical and Community Education. Maria oversees Carrico’s educational development and developing training curriculum. Maria has been one of the Clinical Director’s for Special Olympics Southern California’s FUNfitness program since 2012. Outside the clinic, she enjoys being active and playing tennis and basketball. Her favorite types of food are American, Mexican, Chinese, and Thai food. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family including her two children, husband, and their dog. One of Maria’s talents that most people don’t know about is that she enjoys playing the piano and ukulele.
